The Rapid Applications for Transport (RAPTOR) program is now accepting Expressions of Interest (EoI) for cities to join its 2025 cohort. RAPTOR is an agile initiative that rapidly develops and tests solutions to specific urban mobility challenges, offering an exciting opportunity for cities to connect with innovative startups and SMEs across Europe.

The program is designed to address niche urban mobility issues through a challenge-based approach, matching city needs with cutting-edge solutions from startups and SMEs. Successful participants will have the chance to test these solutions in real-life environments over a five-month period. For cities, this means the chance to engage with forward-thinking innovators, trial solutions before making significant investments, and enhance their leadership in urban mobility innovation.

Since 2022, RAPTOR has worked with 36 cities from 21 countries on a variety of challenges, from improving public transport reliability and monitoring air quality to enhancing traffic safety. The solutions tested have been equally diverse, including AI-powered data analytics tools, secure micro-mobility charging stations, and Mobility as a Service (MaaS) platforms. In 2024, RAPTOR’s participating cities included Brussels, Ghent, Helsinki, and Vitoria-Gasteiz, among others.

If your city is facing specific urban mobility challenges and you are interested in participating in the 2025 RAPTOR program, the EoI is now open. Cities must be within the EU or associated with Horizon Europe. The deadline for submitting the EoI is October 15, 2024.
