Kentyou was created in 2020, out of 7 years of research and development activities in CEA, a world leading research institution. The company has become one of the leaders of the European IoT and smart city innovation ecosystem, coordinating and contributing to more than 15 international research projects.

Kentyou eye is currently being deployed in the context of smart intersection in Istanbul (TR), Jena (DE) and Helsinki (FI), used for energy monitoring in Ollioules (FR), and for heat island detection and mitigation in Grenoble (FR)

Mobility Hypervisor – Intersection monitoring

Intersections are high-risk points in urban traffic, often prone to congestion and accidents, impacting both safety and flow efficiency. The Kentyou Eye software suite provides cities with a comprehensive tool for monitoring intersection traffic, offering real-time visualizations, incident detection, and response capabilities, as well as in-depth traffic analysis for long-term urban planning.

Kentyou intersection monitoring solutions connect to existing city infrastructure such as traffic cameras and road sensors and historical traffic data base to aggregate information and provide a meaningful real-time view of the current state of traffic conditions alongside historical insights.

Each intersection is continuously monitored for traffic incidents and potential accidents, while also delivering statistical analyses on origin-destination patterns and identifying potential bottlenecks. This data enables cities to respond quickly to incidents as they occur and to use historical insights to guide longer-term adaptations to road infrastructure, making intersections safer and improving overall urban mobility.
